As I'm new to this forum I will start with a short introduction of my self
Marcel - 44 yrs - Kaatsheuvel/ Netherlands

I'm sorry to write this in English but I'm working on my French...
A longer introduction to my current challenge however is necessary as I'm experiencing troubles in starting the engine. At first I thought "the battery is dead" so bought myself a new one but the problem is still present; the starter does not turn completely but stops when compression is built up. Using Google translate this is in French: "le démarreur ne tourne pas complètement mais s’arrête lorsque la compression est constituée"
Diagnostics:
- old battery is replaced by an identical new copy Varta 6V 77 Ah (360 A)
- without the spark plugs the crank turns nicely on the starter motor
- with 1 spark plug in it already is a lot less smooth and with 2 spark plugs in it is almost not turning around. With 3 spark plugs in is is not turning round any more.
- I have tried to measure the compression; 8 bar. I can however not hold the meter steady at the highest compression but that could also be explained by the fact that I have never before performed a compression check. So I might do something wrong here
- all valves move up and down nicely
- inlet/outlet is removed; No clogging visible
Anyone have an idea in which direction I should find my solution?
